Tim trained at Yorkshire Post Newspapers in Leeds, UK, his home town for a decade before moving to Australia in 1990 to take up a position as Sports Photographer for The Sydney Morning Herald, which he held for 18 years. I use canon, 1dx and 5dMKIII. Lenses include 20mm, 28mm, 50mm, 85mm, 135mm, 200mm, 500mm.His many sports assignments have included eight Olympic Games, five Rugby World Cups and the FIFA World Cup.He has been recognized for the high standard of his work winning eight World Press Photo Awards which include three first place awards in 1994, 2004 and 2007.Your skill as a photographer never came into consideration. When I was taken on as a Trainee Press Photographer they shipped me off to Richmond College, Sheffield, where they run the NCTJ (National Council for the Training of Journalists) course for press photographers. He then worked as a Sports Photographer for the Sydney Morning Herald for almost twenty years. He has been privileged and delighted to be asked to speak at workshops on occasion over the years and he has thoroughly enjoyed the experience of 'giving back' and trying to help photographers who want to improve. In 2003, The Observer Sports Magazine, UK, placed four of Tim's pictures in its selection of the 50 best sports images of all time.

In these photographs, I really enjoy that it's all about sports, also i like how some are close up and some are far away. I enjoy how his photos are in mid action.

I took these photos, because they are of sports, and he is a sports photographer and i love taking pictures of sports aswell. I was inspired to take these pictures, because one day i maybe a pro sports photographer.
